Derry Trojans fell to Knoch Varsity Knights 2-1 on Monday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the ninth when Kaden Dreher singled, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Knoch Varsity Knights pitchers struck out two, while Derry  sat down eight.

Knoch Varsity Knights opened the scoring in the sixth after Cooper Allison singled, scoring one run.

Michael Aaron grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped Derry tie the game at one in the top of the seventh.

Zane Pacek earned the win for Knoch Varsity Knights. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and one run over nine innings, striking out two and walking one. Jayden Struble took the loss for Derry . The reliever went one and two-thirds innings, giving up one run (zero earned) on two hits, striking out one and walking one. Max Doherty stepped on the hill first for Derry Varsity Trojans. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking five.

Aaron led the team with one run batted in. John Wasnick led the Trojans with two hits in four at bats.

Kyle Morgan, Dreher, Allison, and Hunter Lang each collected one hit for Knoch Varsity Knights. Dreher and Allison each drove in one run for Knoch Varsity Knights. Ryan McCurdy paced Knoch Varsity Knights with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Knoch Varsity Knights turned one double play in the game.
