Derry Trojans's effort to come back from down five runs in the fifth inning came up just short, as they fell 6-4 to Knoch Varsity Knights on Tuesday. Derry  closed the gap by scoring on a double, a sacrifice fly, and a single.

Knoch Varsity Knights opened the scoring in the first after Dylan Roth doubled, scoring one run.

Knoch Varsity Knights added one run in the second. Derry committed an error, making the score 2-0.

Cody Stull earned the win for Knoch Varsity Knights. The pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking four. Jayden Struble took the loss for Derry . The starter went four and one-third innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out five and walking two. Hunter Lang earned the save.

Mason Fridley went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Parker Petrosky, Derry Trojans's number nine hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats.

Dante Pelloni went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Roth went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Knoch Varsity Knights in hits. Knoch Varsity Knights were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Roth made the most plays with eight.
