The Derry Area girl’s tennis team defeated Greensburg Salem High School, 5-0. In the first singles match, Derry’s Paige King faced Greensburg Salem’s Madison Resnick. King defeated Resnick 6-1, 6-0. In the second singles match, Mia Marsh defeated Greensburg Salem’s Anna Spigarelli, 6-4, 6-2. In the third singles match, Amelia Sobota faced Mia Pellis of Greensburg Salem. Sobota defeated Pellis 6-3, 6-1.
In double’s teams, Derry Area’s Melody Marsh and Payton Donovan faced Greensburg Salem’s duo of Carly White and Maddie Hull, defeating their opponents with scores of 6-1, 6-2. Derry’s second double’s team of Melissa Polinsky and Claire VanDerWeele faced Hayden Caughey and Marley Perrone of Greensburg Salem. Polinsky and VanDerWeele defeated their opponents 6-2, 6-2.
