Haylee Myers hit two home runs and drove in five as Derry Trojans defeated Freeport YellowJackets 10-0 on Friday. Myers homered in the fourth and sixth innings.

Myers struck out 14 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also gave up three hits and zero runs over six innings while walking none.

Derry Trojans got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sophia Doherty homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Leah Clark induced Callie Krause to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

A double by Francesca DePalma extended the Derry Trojans lead to 5-0 in the top of the second inning.

Derry Trojans scored three runs in the top of the fourth on a home run to center field by Myers.

Myers homered to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth for the Derry Trojans.

Doherty collected two hits for Derry Trojans in three at bats. Derry Trojans stole five bases in the game. Derry Trojans were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Doherty made the most plays with 14.

Addi Gourley, Clark, and Emily Sperski each collected one hit for Freeport YellowJackets.
